Background & Goal

The rapid growth of connected devices has led to an explosion of data, offering unprecedented opportunities for data-driven decision-making. Within Axis Communications, the Diagnostics & Data Management team has developed a robust data platform to collect and process anonymised device diagnostic data from consenting users and customers. However, unlocking the full potential of this data requires innovative tools and support for R&D engineers. Currently, engineers struggle to get started with data analysis due to the need for specialized skills in data cleaning, transformation, and visualization. To bridge this gap, we propose developing a Large Language Model (LLM) chat assistant that provides an intuitive interface for engineers to access and explore the data. By leveraging existing pre-trained LLMs and domain-specific data, our goal is to facilitate faster adoption and more efficient use of the data platform.

Who are you?

We're seeking two talented master's students with a passion for AI, data science, and software engineering to join us on-site in Lund. As you'll be working closely with our team, we require applicants to live within commuting distance. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB is essential, preferably with experience in data science and machine learning applications. Familiarity with Large Language Models is a significant advantage. We're looking for individuals who are creative, independent thinkers with a strong problem-solving mindset. In return, you'll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a dynamic team dedicated to innovation.
